Privacy Policy

Rume (“Rume,” “we,” “us”) helps people host events — creating an event page, inviting guests, managing RSVPs and check-in, and following up afterward. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. Questions? Email hirotay00@gmail.com.

Information we collect

• Account information — your name and email when you sign in as a host.
• Event information — the events you create and their details, and the guest lists, RSVPs, and notes you add.
• Guest information — when someone RSVPs to an event, the details they choose to provide (such as name, email, and any RSVP answers).
• Mobile phone number— only if you choose to provide it to receive text notifications about your own events (see “Text messages” below).
• Usage information — basic technical data (such as device and log information) needed to operate and secure the service.

How we use information

We use the information above to provide and improve Rume: to run your events, deliver transactional email (confirmations, calendar invites, reminders, and follow-ups you send), keep the service secure, and respond to you. We do not sell your personal information.

Text messages (SMS)

If you are a host, you can choose to add your mobile phone number to receive optional text notifications about your own events — for example, a reminder to capture your notes after an event ends, and a morning-after recap. Providing your number is entirely optional and is a single opt-in for your own account; you are never texted for adding your number to an event as a guest.

We do not sell, rent, or share your mobile phone number or SMS opt-in data with any third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes. SMS opt-in consent is never shared with third parties.

Message frequency varies based on your events and activity. Message and data rates may apply. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message; reply HELP for help. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

How we share information

We share information only as needed to run the service: with service providers who process data on our behalf (for example, our hosting, database, email, and — where you opt in — text-messaging providers), under obligations to protect it; when required by law; and to protect the rights and safety of Rumeand its users. Guest details you collect for an event are visible to that event’s hosts, and never to other guests. As stated above, mobile numbers and SMS opt-in data are never shared with third parties for their marketing.

Data retention & security

We keep information for as long as your account and events are active, or as needed to provide the service and meet legal obligations, and we use reasonable safeguards to protect it. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure.

Your choices

You can update your account information, opt out of text messages at any time (reply STOP), and request access to or deletion of your personal information by emailing hirotay00@gmail.com.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date above. Continued use of Rume after a change means you accept the updated policy.
